Can I change templates?
You can change templates within the same price group as often as you like. This means that if you have a $24.95 template, you can alternate among the $24.95 templates with no additional charge during the term of your hosting agreement. Similarly, if you have a $34.95 template, you can alternate among the $34.95 templates with no additional charge during the term of your hosting agreement.
You can also change from a $34.95 to a $24.95 template with no additional charge or refund.
You can change from a $24.95 template to a $34.95 template, but you will incur an additional charge, as explained in this FAQ:
Can I upgrade to a more expensive template?

Can I upgrade to a more expensive template?
You can upgrade from a $24.95 template to a $34.95 template at any time during the term of your hosting agreement. You will have to pay an additional charge, calculated as follows: $34.95, less a credit for the remaining portion of your original $24.95 payment.
If you decide to upgrade to a $34.95 account after six months has expired on your $24.95 hosting agreement, for example, the additional charge would be $22.45, calculated as follows: ($34.95 - ($24.95*6/12)).
Your hosting agreement would be renewed at that point, meaning that your website would be available to you for one year after paying for the upgrade.
Upgrade charges are subject to a minimum of $5.00, but additional charges less than $1.00 are waived.

How do I forward my domain name to my website?
If you have an existing domain name that you have already registered with a Domain Name Registrar (for example, LawnServicesByJoe.com), you can forward that domain name to your website, which is identified by its Vanity Subdomain Name (for example, "http://Joe.ProfileOnDemand.com").
To forward your domain name, you must visit the website maintained by your Domain Name Server (which may or may not be the same company that registered your domain name) and change your account settings to forward your domain name to your Vanity Subdomain Name.
To continue with our example, Joe will contact his DNS and change the account settings for "www.LawnServicesByJoe.com" to forward to "http://Joe.ProfileOnDemand.com". After this change is propagated throughout the internet, Joe's website can be accessed through two URLs: www.LawnServicesByJoe.com or http://Joe.ProfileOnDemand.com.
If you don't have your own domain name (e.g., www.DomainName.com) but would like one, visit http://www.tmiDomains.com and register one. After you register a domain name, you can forward it to your website using these instructions.

What is a vanity subdomain name?
Your vanity subdomain name is your address on the web. Just as your street address or P.O. box provides a way for people to send you snail mail, and your phone number allows people to call you on the telephone, your vanity subdomain name allows people to view your website.
And just like your address follows a certain format that the postal service understands, and your phone number follows a certain format that the telephone switch understands, your vanity subdomain name must be formatted for web servers, as follows:
http://YourName.OurName.com
Your vanity subdomain name is shown on your Profile page. You create the "Your Name" portion of your vanity subdomain name, and you can change it by editing that component of your Profile.

-
How do I create my vanity subdomain name?
After you log in, go to "Profile." You will create your "Vanity Domain Name" by completing the text box associated with this item.
You can change your Vanity Domain Name as often as you like, but you will have to remember your current selection so that you can direct others to your website.

-
How do I get to my site
You get to your website in one of two ways:
- By entering your Vanity Subdomain Name in the address bar of your web browser. You create your Vanity Subdomain Name in your Profile. Your Vanity Subdomain Name will start with "http://" and end with ".com"
- If you have a new or existing Domain Name, you will forward the Domain Name to your website--you will get to your website by entering your Domain Name in the address bar of your web browser

-
I want both personal and commercial sites. Can I maintain both from one profile page?
Multiple accounts can not be maintained from one Profile page. Our system is based on a one-to-one relationship between an account's Profile and its website, and each account must have a unique e-mail address. Accordingly, you will have to maintain each account independently.

-
How long is my website paid for?
Our pricing structure is based on a 12-month hosting plan. Once you have paid for your website, you will have access to that website for 12 months (1 year). You have the ability to renew your web hosting plan at the end of your current term.

What is the difference between paying through PayPal and paying by Credit Card?
There is very little difference between paying through PayPal and paying by Credit Card.
Paying through PayPal allows you to establish a PayPal account. You incur a charge to your Credit Card just as you would if you paid by Credit Card. Once established, a PayPal account allows you to exchange funds with anyone with an e-mail address.
Paying by Credit Card results in a charge to your Credit Card account.

When I utilize your services, do I own my website?
No, you do not "own" your website. You are, in essence, leasing our website template during the term of your web hosting agreement.
If you have purchased a Domain Name, either through us or through another domain registration service, you are the owner of that Domain Name in accordance with the terms of your registration agreement.

What is JavaScript?
(Formerly LiveScript) Netscape's simple, cross-platform, World-Wide-Web scripting language, only very vaguely related to Java. JavaScript is intimately tied to the World-Wide Web, and currently runs in only three environments - as a server-side scripting language, as an embedded language in server-parsed HTML, and as an embedded language run in browsers.
JavaScript originated from Netscape, and for a time, only Netscape products supported it. Microsoft now supports it, but as a "work-a-like" called JScript. The resulting inconsistencies make it difficult to write JavaScript that behaves the same in both Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer. This could be attributed to the slow progress of JavaScript through the standards bodies.
As a result, you may sometimes notice a difference on the same website, depending on whether you are using a Microsoft-based or a Netscape-based browser. We have made all attempts to create a consistent and quality experience on our websites for all cross-platform browsers.

I paid for the UpClose template. How do I select pictures and sound files?
If you have selected the UpClose template, you can choose from over 100 pictures and 200 sound files.
We have paired each of the pictures with a "Suggested Sound File." You have the option of using our suggestion, or selecting a sound file from our library.
To screen our "Suggested Sound File" or select a sound file on your own, follow these steps:
- Step One: Go to your Profile page (using the menu at the top of the webpage) and click on "Choose Picture" (menu item toward the bottom of your Profile page). After you have selected your picture, click on any of the "Save Information" buttons on your Profile page. Saving at this stage of the process is important because the "Suggested Sound File" for the picture you have chosen will not be displayed (see Step Two) unless you have saved your picture.
- Step Two: After you have saved the picture you selected, click on "Choose Sound" (menu item toward the bottom of your Profile page). The "Suggested Sound File" for the picture you selected will appear as the very first item on the sound menu. To screen any of the sound files, simply click on the "play" button next to each one. Once you have made your selection, click on any of the "Save Information" buttons on your Profile page. Your website will now include both the picture and the sound file you selected.

Populating Your Website (Entering Data)
After you have paid for your website, you will receive an email containing your User Name and Password. You will use this User Name and Password to login to our website (through the "Login" menu item at the top of the webpage).
After you have logged in, you will be able to access your Profile through the "Profile" menu item at the top of the webpage. Your Profile contains input boxes for the information that will be contained in your website.
The most important input boxes are as follows:
- Your "Vanity Subdomain Name," which takes the form "http://YourName.OurSite.com" You must complete the "YourName" portion of your Vanity Subdomain Name. This will be the URL (web address) for your website.
- The input boxes associated with the information sections of your website. As you enter this data, it will become visible on your website.
As you enter data, remember that our system has a "time-out" feature, meaning that you will automatically logout after 10 minutes of inactivity. Inactivity is interpreted as the time that has elapsed since the last time you saved your information.
To prevent being logged out and losing any data you entered since you last saved, save your data often (at the very least, every 10 minutes). As a reminder, we have placed "Save Information" buttons next to every input box in your Profile. Clicking on any one of these "Save Information" buttons will result in all of the data on the page being saved.
You may want to use word processing software (we recommend using "Notepad") to write and edit your information. You can then "cut and paste" into the data input boxes of your Profile, saving after each paste function.
